Tell your legislator: Vote NO on SB1545

About Senate Bill 1545

Senate Bill 1545 will force more than 300 local pharmacies – including Fry’s, CVS, Kroger, and Costco – to close. That’s one-third of our neighborhood pharmacies across the state that will be forced to close their doors, impacting millions of Arizona families like yours.

It will also disrupt the mail-order services that veterans, military families, seniors, and rural Arizonans rely on to get their prescriptions at home, and severely limit access to safe, quality specialty medications for our most vulnerable patients. For veterans, military families, seniors, and rural Arizonans who rely on their local retail pharmacy or get their prescriptions by mail, SB1545 will have an immediate impact on their lives. For everyone else, it means fewer options and more expensive prescription drugs.

If SB1545 goes into effect, the consequences will be disastrous:

  • Reduce access to medications for service members, veterans, and rural families.

  • Force hundreds of pharmacies to close, creating significant access challenges.

  • Reduce the number of pharmacies that provide life-saving medications to seniors and patients with complex medical conditions, like rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, and even cancer.

  • Eliminate jobs across the state, including high-quality health care jobs for pharmacists and technicians.

  • Increase costs for patients and families: Fewer options mean higher costs.
